Not a fan of cinnamon bun spread? Here are three delightful variations of the Cinnamon Sweetheart to add some variety and excitement to your Valentine’s Day dessert spread:

  1. Nutella
  2. Raspberry Cream Cheese
  3. Apple Cinnamon

Here are four tips to ensure your Cinnamon Sweethearts turn out perfectly:

1. Even Distribution: When spreading the filling onto the puff pastry sheet, ensure the filling is evenly distributed to avoid areas with too much or too little flavor. This ensures every bite is bursting with deliciousness.

2. Proper Soaking of Barbecue Sticks: It is crucial to use BBQ sticks for this to help keep the heart shape while baking. Remember to soak them in water for 10-15 minutes before assembling the sticks. This prevents them from burning in the oven and ensures they’re safe to use.

3. Temperature Monitoring: Keep an eye on the oven temperature to ensure it reaches and maintains the desired 400°F (200°C). Consistent heat is crucial for even baking and achieving that golden brown color.

4. Cooling Time: Allow the Cinnamon Sweethearts to cool slightly before serving. This prevents burns and allows the flavors to settle and intensify, resulting in a more enjoyable eating experience.

By following these tips, you’ll be well-equipped to create irresistible Cinnamon Sweethearts that will impress your Valentine or anyone lucky to taste them! Happy baking!
