Ingredients
  

  • 1 pack spicy seafood udon style noodles
  • 4 frozen shrimp gyoza
  • 1 EGG
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 handful spinach

garnish (optional)

  • chopped green onion
  • sesame seeds
  • chili oil

Instructions
 

  • Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a small saucepan.
  • once at a boiil, add noodles. Place two chopsticks across the pot, arrange gyoza on top, and cover partially with a lid to steam for 3 minutes.
  • Lower heat to medium-low. Add the steamed gyoza into the broth, stir in the seasoning packet (use half if you want lower sodium).
  • Stir in spinach until slightly wilted.
  • Crack in one egg, cover, and let cook 1–2 minutes until the egg reaches your preferred doneness.
  • Serve hot and garnish with green onion, sesame seeds, or chili oil.

Notes

Cooking Tips

  • No steamer? The chopstick method is the perfect hack to steam dumplings.
  • Use 3 cups of water if you prefer a soupier bowl.
  • Swap spinach for bok choy, mushrooms, or cabbage.
