Servings 1 serving

Ingredients

  • 4 oz small shrimp (peeled and deveined shrimp)
  • 1/8 tsp creole seasoning
  • 1/8 tsp Kinder's buttery steakhouse seasoning
  • Cooking spray
  • 2 slices low carb bread (or your choice of bread)
  • 1 tbsp Parmesan cheese (shredded)
  • 1 tbsp Mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • 1 tbsp Mayo
  • 1 tbsp Sour Cream

Toppings:

  • 1 tbsp green onion (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Pre-heat the air-fryer at 375F.
  • Feel free to rough chop the shrimp to your liking; I did not cut the small shrimp for this recipe because they were small enough.
  • Add the shrimp, creole seasoning, and Kinder's buttery steakhouse seasoning in a medium bowl. Mix until all shrimp are fully coated and seasoned.
  • Add cooking oil to a hot skillet and slightly cook the shrimp (2-3 min each side). Once cooked, set aside.
  • Cut the two slices of bread in half (four triangle pieces).
  • In another bowl, add mayo, sour cream, parmesan, mozzarella cheese, sprinkle creole seasoning, and Kinder's buttery steakhouse. Mix and then add the cooked shrimp into the mixture.
  • Spread the shrimp mixture evenly over the bread slices.
  • If desired, sprinkle the bread with more parmesan cheese and green onions.
  • Air fry the toast at 375F for 4-6 minutes or until the cheese is melted. (Always pre-heat the air-fryer).
  • Serve hot, and enjoy!

Notes

Here are different ways to cook shrimp toast:
Pan-frying: This is the traditional way to cook shrimp toast. Heat some oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat. Fry the bread slices, shrimp-side down, for 2-3 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through.
Deep-frying: This is a quicker way to cook shrimp toast, but it produces a greasy result—heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350 degrees F. Fry the bread slices, shrimp-side down, for 1-2 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through.
